Position Title: Sonny’s Shift/Sales Lead
Reports To: Site Manager

Purpose of Role

The Shift/Sales Lead directs the overall activity of Sonny’s Car Wash by leading and developing the site level team during each shift to provide excellent customer service. The Shift/Sales Lead is accountable for all financial goals and objectives of ownership while the Site Manager or Assistant Manager is off duty. The Shift/Sales Lead is responsible for ensuring that everything at Sonny’s Car Wash is effectively managed during their shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives quality and exceptional customer service through the daily management of all site level employees and initiatives. Ensures that all customers are managed with first class customer service, any customer issues are managed, and customers are satisfied with their experience at Sonny’s Car Wash.
• Is accountable to run the site in the absence of the Site Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service at the point of sale by following company guidelines and recommending the best wash or Membership package for the customer to provide the customer with the best wash experience.
• Leads employees during shift and supervises and training activities. Addresses employee performance issues on shift and holds level employees accountable for delivering company objectives.
• Manages and monitors site level cleanliness, service, and equipment operations by leading the team on all necessary activities. These activities include preventative maintenance, daily opening and closing routines, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Conducts equipment repairs proactively.
• Creates and promotes a safe work environment by holding employees accountable to company safety guidelines and training.
• Conducts all other responsibilities assigned by the Site Manager, Assistant Manager, or ownership.

Experience and Skill Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, sales, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in customer service or retail management preferred. Car wash experience is a bonus.
• Mechanical and chemical knowledge and aptitude preferred. Training provided.
• Ability to learn and operate all machinery.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, bend and twist for extended periods of time; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance.
• Ability to work in outside weather elements such as cold, heat and precipitation.
• Must be 18 years or older and a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the car wash and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
